BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A North Dakota man on Tuesday pleaded guilty to threatening to kill President Barack Obama.

Eric Hirchert is charged in federal court with threats against the president. Authorities say he told his parents he was going to shoot Obama and posted a statement on his brother's Facebook page that he was going to kill the president.

The 22-year-old Hirchert faces a maximum sentence of five years in prison. Sentencing is scheduled for June 7.
