Elbaite - Himalaya Mine, Gem Hill, Mesa Grande District, San Diego Co., California, USA

"Gem quality multi-colored glassy transparent loose terminated elbaite crystal measuring 5.0 x 0.9 x 0.7 cm in size. Only with a 10x loupe can I find one small area on the termination with extremely light chipping; to my naked eye this is damage-free. Complete all around. A beautiful gem crystal with several different zones of color throughout. Weighs 6 grams."

Elbaite - Araçuaí, Jequitinhonha valley, Minas Gerais, Southeast Region, Brazil

"Beautiful pink double terminated gemmy glassy lustrous elbaite crystal measuring 6.4 x 1.9 x 1.7 cm in size. The bottom termination is natural but more crude than the top main termination. Complete all around and damage-free. Minor mica in association."
