"The gardens would be suspended in the air from large remotely controlled dirigibles. Each inflatable craft would house thousands of smaller plants attached to long vines. A family of dirigibles would migrate within a city, moving towards areas where the heat island effect is greatest, and also migrate seasonally, traveling to southern cities during winter months and northern cities during summer months"

"an impressive view of the Yampa River (top) and the appropriately named Green River (center) at Steamboat Rock in Echo Park Utah/Colorado. It was taken from Harpers Corner near the Dinosaur National Monument. A short distance below Echo Park, the Green River loops around Steamboat Rock, crosses the Mitten Park fault, and empties into Whirlpool Canyon, a huge gorge spanning 1.5 miles (2.4 km) – it’s approximately 2,500 feet (762 m) deep."

Indonesia's Mount Sinabung continued erupting yesterday, two days after it sprang back into life after over 400 years of inactivity.

30,000 people were evacuated to emergency shelters, as the volcano spewed smoke and ash several kilometres into the air. Thousands have since returned to the area, despite the risk of further eruptions.

The volcano, in the Karo Regency of North Sumatra, had not been closely monitored because it was believed to be relatively safe.
