The oceans around you
They are blue
And the skies above you
They change your point of view
Different shades of blue
There are so many different shades of blue
Look past your windowpane of any rainy day
The colors of the sky
Cast off an eerie gray
The shadows from the trees
A long dark shadow of you and me
I am a shade of blue
A gray sky too
Color me a silver lining
In the sky so true
You cannot lose
There are so many different shades to choose
As the sun grows weary and sets into the sea
To keep the appointment made
An engagement to meet
I slip into a dream
And twilight shifts to a certain shade of black
"Andromeda is a beautiful galaxy to see with your own eyes, but in this video, ESA’s fleet of space telescopes — XMM Newton, Herschel, Planck and several ground-based telescopes — has captured M31, in different wavelengths, most of which are invisible to the eye. Each wavelength shows a different aspect of the galaxy’s nature, as well as providing a look at the lifecycle of the stars that make up Andromeda.
You can also see Andromeda and the rest of the Universe in the various wavelengths using the Chromoscope, which is immensely fun to play around with.
