Macau

Colonized by the Portuguese in the 16th century, Macau was the first European settlement in the Far East. Pursuant to an agreement signed by China and Portugal on 13 April 1987, Macau became the Macau Special Administrative Region (SAR) of the People's Republic of China on 20 December 1999. In this agreement, China promised that, under its "one country, two systems" formula, China's socialist economic system would not be practiced in Macau, and that Macau would enjoy a high degree of autonomy in all matters except foreign and defense affairs for the next 50 years.

From Buddha's Hand to Sugar Palm_20 Unusual Fruits

by Christine Vrey

"I love fruit and I clearly just can’t get enough of them. When I try to imagine what one of these odd fruits taste like, it’s almost like trying to imagine a new color. I just can’t seem to wrap my mind around something I have never experienced but that does not mean that I won’t try to experience as many as I possibly can in my lifetime. So on account of all the omissions that where listed on the previous top 20 fruits you probably don’t know, I decided to include them and make the rest of the entries a bit more global. There are hundreds of fruits out there, but as I can’t carry on writing lists about all of them, I have settled for a few that I had never heard of and found interesting. Once again I have not written this list in any special order, but decided on giving the number 1 spot to the most repeated omission."

Fractal Energy Mandala

Welcome to Energy Mandala

"Here you will find an elegant blend of Art, Spirituality and Science. Recent discoveries in the field of Quantum Physics have unlocked ancient mysteries and pierced the veil between spirituality and the world of science and physics.

I have taken the principles of Ancient Numerology, Color Therapy and movement and integrated them into Organic Fractals with complex algorithms to produce these Energy Mandalas.

Each Mandala has a meaning and intention woven into the complex patterns that make up these beautiful pieces of art work.

I have been on a spiritual path most of my life, always seeking to understand the mysteries of life. I have studied religion, quantum physics, numerology, fractals, healing arts and esoteric wisdom. Several years ago I began to combine my spirituality and my graphic design which lead to creating energy mandalas. These beautiful images hold powerful intensions that can transform our thinking and reality."    K. Allen Kay – Artist

Himalayan Summits from Mussoorie, India

by Roopaushree.P.R.S

This panoramic view of a portion of the Himalayan Ranges was taken on the slope of Gun Hill (7,533 ft or 2,296 m) near Mussoorie, India. On a clear day, the snow-capped Himalayan peaks can easily be observed from here, though they're nearly 50 mi (80 km) distant. The peaks looming above the foothills in the mid-ground include Gangotri (left center), Bandarpunch (right center), Nanda Devi (25,643 ft or 7,816 m), the highest Indian Himalayan Mountain.
